Uri Guttman, the force behind The Perl Hunter, has always had an interest in the Perl community and the work force. Around 1998 he created the first Perl jobs mailing lists. Those lists morphed into jobs@perl.org and its associated website jobs.perl.org which now see over 100 job postings a month from a wide range of companies around the globe. In 2005, Uri combined his deep experience in Perl and his connections in the Perl community and launched The Perl Hunter, the first job placement agency exclusively dedicated to Perl recruitment.
